​​The Oberlin Preying Manti | Women + NON-BINARY Ultimate Frisbee

The Preying Manti is Oberlin’s women and trans ultimate team. We started tossing discs between non-dude athletes in 1996, creating a competitive and positive athletic environment for people who want to play ultimate! 

The Preying Manti are a formerly nationally competitive team that has competed in the D-III College Championships in 2010 (for the first time), 2013, 2016, 2018, and (won) in 2019. Currently the Manti are a developmental team focusing on brining new players into the fold!

For many years we hosted an annual autumn tournament, Force Freedom, at Oberlin. This tournament brought together local Ohio college teams, both open and women + non-binary, to compete and grow their programs in the off-season. There is still an open division, but we did not have a women + non-binary division in 2019. We also host an alumni weekend in the fall to keep our current and alumni connections strong!
